I reported and produced social media videos on Buzzfeed and Chicago Tribune platforms about voter turnout and education during COVID-19. I also started talks of monetization via Instagram across Tribune newspapers and executed the idea using IG Stories to lead to an organic, dynamic ad with subscription offers.

I worked with the Sedalia Democrat, a daily newspaper in Sedalia, Missouri, on improving their digital presence. In one week, I created analytics reports, an Instagram account and taught video to a team of six reporters.

I edited photos for the daily Columbia Missourian as well as edited photos for two special sections. I also spent four months editing a micro documentary about Rhineland Missouri, with the footage from photographer, Claire Hassler. I edited sports and news photos for our website and print edition.

I scheduled and posted content from our website on different social media platforms. I also created a three-month Instagram analytics report to use for further research. I also did live event coverage via Instagram for an annual Missourian event, The Progress Awards.

I wrote 172 web stories for the WGN-TV website including News, Sports and Entertainment stories. I used Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook to promote my articles and show celebrity guests and musicians who would come on the show. I used basic HTML to create different organizational tools in my stories.
